CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Six Flags Entertainment Corporation plans to move its corporate headquarters from Charlotte to Arlington, Texas, in 2027.
The amusement park company announced on Tuesday, Aug. 25, that the move is expected to be completed by March 2027. The company said Arlington will become the primary hub for Six Flags’ corporate leadership and shared business operations.
The headquarters were only in the Queen City for two years following Six Flags’ acquisition of Cedar Fair.
Six Flags said the relocation is intended to streamline decision-making, improve collaboration, and bring its leadership team closer to its parks.

The company operates 34 parks and nine resorts across North America. Part of the company’s corporate workforce has already been based at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington since 2020.
Despite the Queen City headquarters move, Six Flags said it will remain a major employer in the Charlotte area through its investments in Carowinds and Carolina Harbor. Carowinds is also preparing to open Rip Roarin’ Falls, a new attraction scheduled for 2027.
