LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock police officers were called to an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Slide Road at 12:29 a.m. on Aug. 29 for a report of a civil disturbance involving an unconscious man outside an apartment.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim on the ground with serious injuries. Officers provided aid until he was transported by EMS to University Medical Center.
The initial investigation indicates the man had been attending a gathering at an apartment prior to an altercation that occurred outside in the parking lot. During the altercation, the victim was assaulted by multiple individuals.
Officers located and detained 23-year-old Lezhane Walker at the scene. Following further investigation by Major Crimes detectives, Walker was arrested for aggravated assault.
