Rockin’ K Farms unveils a corn maze honoring Dolly Parton, celebrating her musical legacy and ties to Corpus Christi.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Rockin’ K Farms has revealed that this year’s corn maze will feature the likeness of country music icon Dolly Parton.
The owners originally planned to keep the design a secret for another couple of weeks but said sharing it now “just felt right.”
The design honors Parton’s legacy of music, kindness and joy. Rockin’ K Farms partnered with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to secure permission to feature her likeness in the maze.
Parton’s connection to Corpus Christi stretched across several decades. She performed in the city during a cerebral palsy benefit concert in 1977.
Nearly 40 years later, Parton returned to Corpus Christi for a December 2016 performance at the American Bank Center as part of her “Pure & Simple” tour.
Rockin’ K Farms will open for its fall season Saturday, Sept. 26. For more information about the maze, click here.
