Austin, TX – Today, Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa stopped at barbershops across Houston to connect with voters about the affordability crisis and share her plan to put money in people’s pockets, including $1,500 Corruption Tax refund checks, freeze electricity rates, lower grocery and healthcare costs, and make homeownership a reality.

“I’ve been traveling across the state for months, and I’m hearing the same things here that I am everywhere: it’s just too expensive to live and operate businesses,” Hinojosa said, “Our small businesses are cornerstones of our communities where we can come together, and we deserve a government that makes it easier for our family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs to grow and prosper.”

Hinojosa talked with local business owners at barbershops and beauty salons including Upgrade Beauty + Exotic Pop, Complete Beauty Bar, The Fade Room, Barbershop 2020, Brandi Chene – The Blonde Specialist, Mass Appeal Beauty Salon, and Goode Barbershop.
