CANYON LAKE, Texas – Deputies in Comal County are investigating after a deceased person was found in the water at Canyon Lake.
The Comal County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded at 10:45 a.m. to the area of Canyon Park Road following a report of a deceased person in the water.
The sheriff’s office Marine Enforcement Unit located the body of an adult male near the shoreline.
As of the time of the release, the sheriff’s office said the man had not been identified.
The incident remains under investigation. The sheriff’s office said there is no reason to believe there is any danger or ongoing threat to the community.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Canyon Lake Fire/EMS, and Comal County Constable Precincts 1 and 3 assisted with the recovery.
The sheriff’s office said additional information will be released as it becomes available and appropriate.
