LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – BYU kept true to its promise to support its opposing team’s community Saturday. BYU started a “Cougs Care” initiative in 2019.
Since then, whenever its football team has an away game, the university partners with a nonprofit in the host city.

Both BYU and Texas Tech’s alumni associations partnered up to support Literacy Lubbock this weekend. The schools hosted a book drive and its respective tailgates Saturday.
