Summer might be coming to an end, but the fun is continuing on as the weather cools off! Mark your calendar for these upcoming September events with Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture.
Doggie Dip – Saturday, September 12
Join us for a Doggie Dip Pool Party to close out the summer! Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center will be open for dogs to roam and play in the fountains. It will be open for small dogs (25 lbs. and under) from 9-10 a.m. and for large dogs (26 lbs. and over) from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Tickets are $5 per dog.
Fort Worth Botanic Gardens Day Trip (50+ yrs) – Thursday, September 17
Join us for a relaxing day surrounded by the beauty of nature at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens! Whether you enjoy photography, birdwatching, or simply taking in the scenery, this trip offers the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with friends. Participants will depart from East Recreation Center at 8 a.m. and return by approximately 3 p.m. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Don’t miss this blooming good time!

Tottie Lynn Play Days: Autumn Celebration – Friday, September 18
Come join us for a festive event filled with fun crafts and activities at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center to celebrate the arrival of fall! This come-and-go event from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. is designated for kids 5 & under, and we ask that all participants are escorted by a guardian 18 years or older.

Terrace & Tunes (50+ yrs) – Friday, September 18
Enjoy live music on ACTIV’s terrace while you shop for tasty bites from multiple food trucks and participate in fun games like Cornhole! Bring friends, try something new, and support local businesses in a relaxed, lively atmosphere. Non-members must purchase a Day Pass plus event pricing to attend. Your ticket covers the cost of live entertainment and includes a water bottle and sweet treat.
Fall Family Fish Night – Friday, September 18
Join us for a relaxing evening of fishing at Cliff Nelson’s pond! Fishing poles will be available for use on a first come/first served basis. This free event will take place from 6-8 p.m. and is open to all ages.
Foam Frenzy – Friday, September 25
Get ready for an action-packed evening of foam-flying fun at Elzie Odom Athletic Center! We will play exciting Nerf-style games and challenges from 5-7 p.m., including team battles, capture the flag, target competitions and more! Safety equipment and foam darts will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own Nerf blaster (compatible with standard Elite-style foam darts) or use one of ours while supplies last. The cost is $5 per person and all ages are welcome at this family-friendly event!
