EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Global Latin music star Karol G is taking over El Paso, with thousands of fans expected to flood the Sun Bowl Stadium this weekend.
To ensure a seamless concert experience, the UTEP Office of Special Events has released an official “Know Before You Go” guide detailing schedules, entry policies, parking details, and venue guidelines.
UTEP officials said they are expecting about 40,000 to 45,000 people to attend the concerts.
Event Timeline & Gate Information
Concertgoers are strongly encouraged to arrive early, as traffic around the UTEP campus and surrounding roads will be heavy with planned street closures.

Gate Entry Tip: Ticket holders can enter Sun Bowl Stadium through any gate (North, South, or East), regardless of which gate is printed on their ticket. Only VIP ticket holders will enter through the North Gate. UTEP officials said concertgoers should expect lines and suggested arriving early if you don’t want to be in line for a long time.
Parking tickets will only be available the day of the concert; no pre-sale parking tickets will be available. Merch booths will also only be available the day of the concerts starting at 2 p.m.

Parking, Rideshare & Accessibility
General Parking
Parking lots open at 10:00 AM on show days and are managed in partnership with the Goldmine Collective to support UTEP student-athletes.Payment is required upon entering each lot.Credit/debit cards only (cash is not accepted at parking entrances).Warning: Parking in neighboring plaza, restaurant, or grocery store lots is forbidden; unauthorized vehicles will be towed.
Rideshare Zone
Uber, Lyft, and taxi pick-up/drop-offs are strictly assigned to the SB11 Parking Lot, located at 3333 N. Mesa St. and Kern Dr. Pedestrians must use marked crosswalks.
Accessible (ADA) Access
Parking Lots: ADA spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis at Glory Road 3 & 4 (access via N. Oregon St.), Sun Bowl 5, and the top (5th) floor of the Sun Bowl Parking Garage.Entrance & VIP Check-In: ADA ticket holders and VIP guests needing accessible entry are encouraged to enter through the North Gate for direct, stair-free access.In-Venue Guest Services: Located near sections 12–13 at the North Entrance.
Public Transportation
The Sun Metro and Streetcar will be available until 11 p.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Box Office & Mobile Ticketing
UTEP Main Ticket Center: Located at 2901 N. Mesa St. (Open Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM, Saturday 10 AM–2 PM).
Day-of-Show Box Office: The Sun Bowl Stadium North Box Office will open at 12:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM on Sunday.
Mobile Tickets: All entry passes are digital via Ticketmaster. Paper tickets are only permitted on tickets issued by the University Ticket Center or Ticketmaster RFID tickets.
Attendees are advised to download tickets to their mobile wallet prior to arriving at the stadium to avoid delays from potential cell network congestion. UTEP officials said they will have Wi-Fi available for people to download their tickets and will be kicked off the Wi-Fi after five minutes.
Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is strictly prohibited. Once you exit the stadium, you must purchase a new ticket to go back in.
Stadium Bag Policy & Venue Guidelines
The Sun Bowl stadium is a clear-bag policy venue.
Below are the types of bags that are approved:
Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags (Max size: 12″ x 6″ x 12″) 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bags Small clutch bags (roughly the size of a hand)
Below are the items below that are prohibited:
Backpacks, mesh bags, tinted plastic bags, large purses Professional cameras with detachable lenses (or lenses over 4″) Metal or glass water bottles (Only clear plastic bottles allowed)

Security Checks: All patrons are subject to bag checks and metal detector wanding upon entry.
Hydration: Free water refill stations are located outside entry gates and inside the main concourse. Bring a factory-sealed or empty plastic water bottle to stay hydrated. There will also be info tents available.
Payment Methods: Concessions accept both cash and card, but merchandise booths operate on credit/debit card only. ATMs are situated throughout the concourse.
Families: Children under 2 years old do not require a separate ticket if sitting on a parent’s lap. Strollers must be checked at Guest Services upon entry.
Other information:
UTEP officials said climbing the mountain is strictly PROHIBITED, and there will be law enforcement presence in the area.
Becky G will be joining Karol G for the Saturday concert.
The Sunday show is completely sold out, but there are still tickets available for the Saturday show. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
