FC Dallas fans returning to Toyota Stadium on Saturday will find some new additions, including a 1,500-square-foot mural honoring four FC Dallas greats and the opening of the stadium’s largest club yet.

Muralist Carly Haynie completed the artwork in about two weeks while working around the North Texas heat.

“We had a hard deadline. We were able to start early so we had some extra time if we needed to quit early if it was too hot,” Haynie said.

The mural and the grand opening of the new East Side Club come as FC Dallas looks to build on increased interest in soccer following the World Cup.

The 12,000-square-foot East Side Club offers an elevated, pub-like experience for fans sitting in sections 126 through 128.

“The interest in soccer in this country from fans from corp partners is like nothing we’ve ever seen before and now we’re able to deliver this building and honestly, I’m most happy for our fans; they deserve this,” FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said.

East Side Club supervisor Tom Cavitt said the space will offer fans several amenities.

“There will be a video arcade for people to do, several TVs for them to watch games and an elevated experience from a drink perspective from a beer selection,” Cavitt said.

The club is part of a $200 million expansion of Toyota Stadium. Construction remains underway on the north and west sides of the stadium, with completion expected in February 2028.

Hunt said FC Dallas has taken inspiration from other premium sports venues while maintaining elements important to the team.

“Obviously, AT&T Stadium: more suites more club seats, large video boards but yet we want to keep it authentic; we want to play on grass,” Hunt said.

For Haynie, the new mural is something she hopes fans will enjoy long after Saturday’s unveiling.

“I hope they just love it. I hope it’s a fun place for them to take pictures in front of and it’s something they can enjoy for years to come,” Haynie said.
