SAN ANTONIO – A driver was killed in a fiery crash on the North Side early Tuesday morning after an SUV went airborne, crashed through a fence and struck several vehicles.
The crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. along West Bitters Road near Blanco Road.
Police said the driver of a white SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle hit a curb and then an embankment, sending it into the air.

The driver was found dead inside the vehicle.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
