Paxton is the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in the Nov. 3 general election. He is facing the Democratic nominee and state Rep. James Talarico.
Paxton defeated incumbent U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in the Republican primary runoff earlier this year. Talarico won the Democratic nomination after defeating U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the March primary.
The Corpus Christi stop comes as the Senate race draws increased attention statewide. Recent polling has shown a close contest, with several surveys giving Talarico a narrow lead over Paxton.
Paxton’s campaign said his Senate platform includes border security, taxes and support for President Donald Trump’s agenda.
The “Protecting the Texas Promise Tour” event is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2. You can get tickets here.
