SAN ANTONIO – While the investigation into the shooting death of a 21-year-old man continues one year later, Crime Stoppers San Antonio is also continuing its search for tips related to the case.
San Antonio police responded on Sept. 1, 2025, to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Westwood Loop.
Details in Crime Stoppers’ report described a suspect waiting to enter the apartment complex just before 1:30 a.m. while driving a silver four-door Mercedes. The suspect later met with the victim, later identified as Aaron Collins, 21.
Collins was “chased around the building by the suspect” before he was shot in the chest, according to Crime Stoppers. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect fled in the Mercedes, which had a lighted front emblem and damage to the rear driver side bumper, the release said.
A white GMC single cab truck accompanied the suspect in the Mercedes, according to Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in connection with this case.
The organization urges people with information to call 210-224-7867. To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
