SOUTHEAST TEXAS/SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA — Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall a little after 12:30 p.m. today, just west of Holly Beach, Louisiana, according to KFDM meteorologist Chad Sandwell.
He says peak winds were about 40 mph.
There could be periods of heavy rain toward Beaumont and to the west/northwest this afternoon as the rain bands rotate across the area.
