A wildfire burning between Lytle and Rossville has grown to about 300 acres and is 45% contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service Incident Viewer.

The River Bluff Fire, located in Atascosa County, remains active as firefighters conduct a planned burnout operation to help control and contain the fire.

Crews from Lytle, Rossville, Pleasanton and Poteet are on scene, while firefighters from Jourdanton, Leming, Blackhill and Atascosa-Bexar have assisted since Friday.

Residents and drivers may see increased smoke and fire activity during the operation. There are no evacuation orders in place.
