Plano’s Sams Club, located on East Spring Creek Parkway, will celebrate a newly remodeled store with a ribbon cutting at 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

Sam’s Club will celebrate the reopening of its remodeled Plano location on Friday, Sept. 4, following updates that include expanded fresh fruit offerings, a renovated cafe adn new health and wellness spaces.

The store, located at 1200 E. Spring Creek Parkway, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. Friday. The event will also include remarks from club leadership and the presentation of more than $3,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Among the changes is a new sushi fixture offering freshly prepared sushi daily. The club cafe has also been remodeled, while its health and wellness area now includes an optical exam room and updated patient spaces.

Outside, Sam’s Club has added more parking spaces dedicated to curbside pickup as part of the renovation.

Plano Mayor John Muns is expected to join club leadership and community partners for the reopening celebration.

The Plano location is also offering discounted memberships in conjunction with the reopening. Through Sept. 30, new members can purchase a one-year Plus membership for $55 or a Club membership for $25, according to Sam’s Club.
