A crash is sparking lane closures and massive delays along a major highway in San Antonio this morning. Here’s where you need to avoid if you’re in a rush out the door in the Alamo City.
According to Sigalert, a crash was reported around 9:34 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, along Loop 410 East near Babcock Road. Traffic is at a standstill, with drivers locked in stop-and-go speeds — and delays of up to an hour can be expected, Sigalert says. Only the center lane is open, as all other lanes are blocked off. The back-up extends all the way to Ingram Road and Exit 11.
The Texas Department of Transportation’s incident map lists the accident as a minor collision.
It’s unclear as of writing what caused the crash and if any drivers were injured, and a spokesperson for SAPD told MySA that the scene is still active.
