GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, Mont. — A confrontation between two groups of hikers broke out in Glacier National Park the week of Aug. 24 after one group was seen off trail and approaching several mountain goats, according to an NBC Montana photographer who witnessed the incident.
The photographer saw a group of hikers confront another group over their behavior near the animals.
In the video, you can see the two groups screaming at each other and threatening one another. Eventually, they separate and go their own ways.
No injuries were reported, and no additional details about the people involved or any law enforcement response were provided.
The Glacier National Park recommends staying at least 100 away yards from any bears or wolves, and 25 yards away from other wildlife, including the mountain goats.
It’s always recommended to stay on designated trails and give wildlife space.
