Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with NBC 5, Telemundo 39, Stockyards Business Association and the Fiestas Patrias Committee at the Fiestas Patrias Parade and Celebration on Sunday, September 13, at the Fort Worth Stockyards. This colorful celebration of Mexican Independence with a touch of cowboy flair starts at 10:00 a.m. and promises an exciting array of events.
The day starts at 11:00 a.m with live music followed by the Fort Worth Herd Longhorn Cattle Drive at 11:30 a.m. The parade starts at 11:40 a.m. along Exchange Ave. where you can expect charros, escaramuzas and more with the participation of the Consul General of Mexico as well as Fort Worth City Officials. The fun continues from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. with live music, folkloric dance, vendor booths and more. The parade, music, and fun are completely FREE and open to spectators of all ages!
The Spirit of Mexico lives at the Cowtown Coliseum. Rodeo meets Mexican culture where charros, regional music, folkloric dancers, and competition will thrill audiences. The Spirit of Mexico Rodeo runs twice at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. To purchase your tickets, click HERE.
