SAN ANTONIO – A woman is being sought after police say an argument with her boyfriend ended with him being shot twice early Thursday morning on the city’s West Side.
The shooting took place around 5:30 a.m. at a home off North Sabinas Street near Interstate 10.
Police said the couple had been arguing when the woman allegedly shot the man once in the hip. A second shot grazed his forehead.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Police said no one appears to have witnessed the shooting, although people nearby reportedly heard the couple arguing.
The woman left in a vehicle after the shooting and had not been found. Police did not have a detailed description of her vehicle and were still trying to determine where she may have gone.
Investigators said they were getting limited information from the wounded man and were also speaking with his mother to learn more about what happened.
Police believe the shooting may have happened outside a home, although they had not confirmed the exact location.
The woman could face charges in connection with the shooting once she is found.
The investigation remains ongoing.
