A man was killed in an explosion at a work site on the east side of Fort Worth on Thursday morning, officials with the police department said.
Officers responded to a “private large yard work area” in the 7100 block of Jack Newell Boulevard about 11 a.m. Thursday, according to a statement.
Investigators learned that a man was working on a welding project when a blast occurred, killing him, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
