A former officer is facing charges of soliciting a minor while he was a member of the Fort Worth police force.
Niko Adrian Jackson, 32, of Grand Prairie, requested sexual favors throughout 2025 from a person he knew to be younger than 17, a criminal complaint alleges. He did this “acting under color of his employment as a public servant, namely a Fort Worth police officer,” the complaint read.
In addition to a charge of online solicitation of a minor, Jackson was charged with official oppression, which is related to using one’s authority as a public servant to sexually harass or unlawfully arrest, detain, search or otherwise mistreat someone.
Grand Prairie police arrested Jackson on Aug. 14, according to online records, and he was charged in Tarrant County District Court on Aug. 31.
Jackson was listed as a member of the Fort Worth police academy’s 156th graduating class in February 2024. As an academy graduate, he received special recognition from the Fort Worth Police Foundation. A spokesperson for the city of Fort Worth said Jackson resigned from the police department in January 2026.
Jackson’s attorney did not return a message left with his office requesting comment.
