AUSTIN, Texas — The Athletes First Tailgate Tour, presented by Las Vegas, will take over Victory Lap on West 24th Street next Friday, with coverage across all CBS Austin platforms ahead of the Texas-Ohio State game.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a live taping of “The Script,” a podcast covering the Ohio State Buckeyes hosted by former Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones and ABC6/Fox28 Sports Director Dave Holmes.
That will be followed by a live taping of “The Stampede: A Podcast on The Texas Longhorns,” featuring former NFL players Colt McCoy and Jamaal Charles as special guests. CBS Austin Sports Director Bob Ballou co-hosts “The Stampede” alongside former Texas quarterback Vince Young and longtime Longhorns coach Mack Brown.
Both live shows are open to attendees 18 and older.
The free event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 504 W. 24th St.
The tailgate comes a day before Texas faces Ohio State, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
