Hickory Stick Bar-B-Q in Everman marked its 50th anniversary Aug. 12 with all-day specials, including a $6 chopped brisket sandwich, a $12.99 barbecue plate and $1.25 smoked chicken legs, at the old-school pit at 900 E. Enon Ave. Kennedy praises the soft, flavorful brisket, spicy pork ribs and double-cut pork chop platter at the wood-paneled restaurant. The Star-Telegram readers’ choice winner opens at 8 a.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
