TEXAS — It’s going to be a busy holiday weekend for Texas airports, and travel isn’t slowing down.

Expert Tim Snyder says Texas saw 2.1 million passengers in July, a 3.27% increase from 2025.

Despite concerns about the economy, Americans are continuing to travel at a record pace, and to keep up, airports across Texas are getting improvements.

Across Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas, at least $22 billion is being spent to improve, upgrade and expand the airports.
