ROUND ROCK, Texas – Deputies in Williamson County are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a person was found injured and later pronounced dead in the 2400 block of Chandler Creek Boulevard.
In a Facebook post, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched at 10:58 a.m. today, September 7th, to the 2400 block of Chandler Creek Blvd. in the park area “regarding an injured person.” The sheriff’s office said that when deputies arrived, they located the injured person, who was later determined to be deceased by EMS.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has determined the case is a homicide investigation.
Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect, described as “a black male with short dreadlocks and frosted tips,” and said a surveillance photo has been provided.
Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the person’s current whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. The sheriff’s office said people should not approach the individual and should call 911 if they see the person, because the suspect is believed to be dangerous.
The sheriff’s office said it is withholding the victim’s name until next of kin has been notified.
Officials also asked the public to avoid the 2400 block of Chandler Creek Blvd. while law enforcement processes the scene. The sheriff’s office said it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
