Police are searching for the shooters
SAPD investigates a shooting scene on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Bynum and Briggs avenues, not far from Southwest Military Drive and New Laredo Highway. (KSAT)
SAN ANTONIO – A teenager was shot overnight while walking home from the store on the Southwest Side, according to San Antonio police.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday at Bynum and Briggs avenues, not far from Southwest Military Drive and New Laredo Highway.
According to SAPD, the teen was walking home when a blue truck pulled up near him and opened fire, striking the teen once in the leg.
The shooters drove off and the teenager walked toward his home and called for help. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
He told police he knew the suspects from school.
The shooting is under investigation.
