EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police have identified the man who died after a crash on Transmountain and Alcan in Northeast El Paso on Friday afternoon.
Police identified the man who died as 41-year-old Angelo San Roman Perez.
The crash happened at the intersection of 5600 Woodrow Bean and 9900 Alcan around 3 p.m.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a Chevy Impala was driving south on Alcan approaching the intersection.
The Toyota Corolla, driven by Roman Perez, was driving at a high rate of speed and entered the intersection on a red light and T-boned the Impala in the middle of the intersection, officials said.
As a result, the Corolla then rolled over.

The driver of the Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene.
The front passenger of the Corolla was thrown from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Impala was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
This is the 41st traffic fatality in El Paso, compared to 41 at the same time last year.
