EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Fire crews extinguished a fire at a military surplus store Tuesday morning in East El Paso.
According to the El Paso Fire Department, the fire was first reported at around 2:49 p.m. at the military surplus store located in the 11200 block of Pellicano Drive.
EPFD said the first unit arrived around eight minutes after the first reports, at around 2:57 a.m.
EPFD said a total of 13 units and 28 fire personnel responded to the incident. Also, drones were used to look at the fire from a higher vantage point in order to identify hotspots.
EPFD added that after the fire was put out, crews remained in the area extinguishing what are called “hot spots” until around 7: 10 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
