SAN ANTONIO – An elderly woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle along a Northeast Side roadway.
The deadly accident happened just after 11 a.m. Tuesday off Thousand Oaks Drive near Uhr Lane.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, a 73-year-old woman was walking in the crosswalk across Thousand Oaks when she was struck by a driver that was turning left from Uhr Ln onto eastbound Thousand Oaks.
The woman was rushed to the hospital, but later died from her injuries. The driver, a 48-year-old woman, remained at the scene, police said.
The woman’s identity has not been released as of yet.
