North Texas is facing another day of dangerous heat Wednesday, with a heat index that could reach 107 degrees. The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office extended the region’s heat advisory through 8 p.m. Wednesday, as high temperatures and humidity continue. Dallas will see a high of 101 degrees and a low of 81. Temperatures are expected to peak around 3-5 p.m., with minimal clouds and a slight breeze throughout the day. Gusts could reach up to 14 miles per hour, and people spending time outdoors are urged to stay hydrated, wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing, and limit activities to cooler parts of the day. The weather service said isolated scattered showers and storms could move into North Texas Thursday and this upcoming weekend. The latest forecast calls for mostly sunny and hot conditions Wednesday through Monday, with highs ranging from 97 to 101.
