Free burgers, $1 deals and more: National Cheeseburger Day specials in Houston

HOUSTON — National Cheeseburger Day is Friday, Sept. 18, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate without spending much. Restaurants across Houston are offering free burgers, $1 deals and other specials.

Annabelle Brasserie

For National Cheeseburger Day, Annabelle Brasserie is serving its Le Burger for $34, featuring house-ground beef topped with bacon and caramelized onions on a brioche bun. The burger is finished tableside with raclette and served with parsley pommes frites.

Applebee’s

On National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, Applebee’s is offering a Classic Burger or Classic Cheeseburger with fries for $8.99. The one-day deal is available for dine-in or to-go orders.

B&B Butchers

For National Cheeseburger Day, B&B Butchers & Restaurant is serving its Butcher Shop Burger for $23. The burger features a house-ground beef patty topped with white cheddar, applewood-smoked bacon mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion, served with steak fries.

Brennan’s of Houston

Brennan’s of Houston is serving Prime Brisket Smash Burger Sliders as part of its Courtyard Bar’s Full Tilt Hot Dog Tower. The sliders are topped with caramelized onion, pimento cheese, pickles and Comeback sauce and served alongside mini hot dogs, Creole fries, sweet potato waffle fries and Andouille queso. The tower is $45 for a petite or $75 for a grand.

Burger Bodega

On National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, Burger Bodega is offering Wagyu smash burgers for $15 at its Washington Avenue location. The special starts at 11 a.m. and is available while supplies last.

Burger King

Burger King is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day with a week of deals for Royal Perks members from Sept. 14-20. The offers include a free Rodeo Burger on Sept. 14, BOGO Whopper Jr. on Sept. 15, free Croissan’wich on Sept. 16, free hamburger on Sept. 17, free Bacon Cheeseburger on Sept. 18, free four-piece nuggets on Sept. 19 and a free Original Chicken Sandwich on Sept. 20. All offers except the Sept. 15 BOGO require a $3 minimum purchase and are available through the Burger King app or website.

Dairy Queen

From Sept. 14-18, participating DQ restaurants in Texas are offering a free Hungr-Buster with cheese with a purchase of $1 or more. The deal is available exclusively through the DQ App. The Hungr-Buster features a quarter-pound burger with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, purple onion, pickles and mustard.

Doko

For National Cheeseburger Day, Doko in Autry Park is serving its Doko Burgie during lunch. The Japanese-inspired burger features two smashed beef patties topped with tonkatsu sauce and tsunomono.

Grubhub

For National Cheeseburger Day, Grubhub is offering several restaurant deals through its app and website. On Sept. 18, customers can get a buy-one-get-one Whopper Jr. from Burger King or a free Baconator from Wendy’s with an order of $20 or more. New Grubhub customers can also get 20% off Outback orders of $55 or more, up to $11, from Sept. 14-20. Grubhub is also offering $0 delivery and service fees on restaurant orders over $50.

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe

On National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, LandShark Bar & Grill at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe is offering two cheeseburger sliders with chips for $5. Guests can also get a LandShark beer for $5.

McDonald’s

On National Cheeseburger Day, Sept. 18, McDonald’s is offering a free Double Cheeseburger with a $1 minimum purchase at participating locations. The deal is available exclusively through the McDonald’s app for MyMcDonald’s Rewards members and is limited to one offer per person.

Molina’s Cantina

For National Cheeseburger Day, Molina’s Cantina is serving its cheeseburger for $15.95, featuring two all-beef patties with American cheese and classic burger toppings. The burger, which started as a kids’ menu item before becoming an off-menu favorite, is now officially on the menu and comes with fries.

OMG! Burger

On Friday, Sept. 18, OMG! Burger is offering its OMG! Cheeseburger for $5 at all five Houston-area locations. For every five cheeseburgers sold that day, the restaurant will donate one cheeseburger to people experiencing homelessness through SEARCH Homeless Services. The deal is available at locations in Katy, Spring, Sugar Land, Pearland and the Galleria area.

Parkwood American Grille

For National Cheeseburger Day, Parkwood American Grille in Friendswood is serving its Parkwood Burger for $15, featuring Wagyu beef, Nueske’s bacon, aged cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Diners can add French fries with truffle aioli for $9.

For National Cheeseburger Day, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is serving its Butcher’s Steak Cheeseburger during Friday lunch, made with Filet Mignon, New York Strip and Ribeye trimmings ground fresh in-house, topped with the guest’s choice of cheese and served with French fries. Diners can also choose the Bacon Slab Cheeseburger, topped with Perry’s thick-cut bacon and bacon marmalade.

Pier 6

For National Cheeseburger Day, Pier 6 is serving its Classic Double Puck for $16.99, featuring two smashed Akaushi beef patties with American cheese, pickles and sriracha mayo. The burger comes with French fries and is available for lunch and on weekends.
