ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas – No injuries were reported after fire crews responded to a mobile home and shed fire in Von Ormy on Sunday.
Crews were called around 2:20 p.m. to the scene of a reported double-structure fire in the 15500 block of IH-35 South.
According to the Von Ormy Police Department, a patrol officer noticed smoke in the area and went to investigate. Officers were able to clear the structure and confirmed no one was inside.
Police said a witness reported seeing two males running away from the area. Drones were deployed to assist officers searching the surrounding area for suspects but none were located.
Bexar County Deputies confirmed that the structures involved appear to be a mobile home and a shed. The Bexar County and Natalia Fire Department also assisted.
The cause of the fire has not been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
