Man accused of forcing woman into vehicle at gunpoint near Downtown

SAN ANTONIO — A 24-year-old man is accused of pulling a gun on a woman and forcing her into his vehicle near North St. Mary’s Street.

Jason Santos was arrested after the incident shortly before 12:30 a.m. Aug. 5 near Terry Court and North St. Mary’s Street.

Police said Santos pulled his vehicle alongside the 22-year-old woman’s vehicle, pointed a handgun at her and demanded that she get into his vehicle.

Santos then drove a short distance with the woman before parking, according to police.

A witness who saw what was happening called 911.

Officers arrived and found both Santos and the woman at the scene. Santos was taken into custody.

Police did not say whether the woman was injured or what charges Santos faces.
