EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 24-year-old San Antonio man was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing several shots outside a bar in Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.
Police responded to a shots-fired call around 4:40 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 800 block of Piedras Street.
Officers nearby reportedly saw Joseph Alexander Aguilar get into a dark-colored vehicle and leave the area.
The vehicle was quickly stopped, and Aguilar was taken into custody, police said.
Investigators said Aguilar had been inside Coconuts bar when an argument began over a tab and an inability to pay it.
Aguilar and another patron were escorted from the business, according to police.
Police allege Aguilar later returned in a vehicle, pointed a gun at two people from outside the bar and fired multiple rounds into the air before leaving.
Aguilar was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
He faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a firearm in certain municipalities.
