The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced a neutral site game at Dallas’ American Airlines Center later this year as part of its 2025-26 PWHL Takeover Tour.

The game, which will feature the New York Sirens and the Seattle Torrent, will be played on December 28 at 5 p.m.

The 16-game tour will take place across 11 cities in the United States and Canada. Dallas is one of seven locations that will be hosting the league for the first time.

“With Dallas continuously ranking as a top spot for sports, we’re truly humbled and honored to be a part of PWHL’s Takeover Tour,” AAC general manager Dave Brown said in a news release. “Last year’s matchups brought record-breaking awareness to the sport, and we can’t wait to make this year bigger and better.”

The 2025-26 edition of the PWHL tour marks an increase in games from the nine that were played a season ago. Games drew an average of more than 13,500 fans (123,601 in total) during last year’s tour.

The PWHL is entering its third season and adding two new expansion teams in 2025, including Seattle which will be in the middle of its inaugural season when it comes to Dallas. The Minnesota Frost has won the Walter Cup, the PWHL’s championship trophy, in the league’s first two seasons.
