TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – Tonight, we’re sitting down with a man who has spent much of his career in education — and for more than a decade now, he’s called East Texas home.
Dr. Juan E. Mejia has served as the President and CEO of Tyler Junior College since 2019, after previously serving in academic leadership roles at TJC and South Texas College.
But tonight, we’re not just talking about the college or the title.
We’re getting to know the man behind the office — his journey, the people who influenced him, the memories he’s made throughout his career and what keeps him passionate about education and serving students.
Dr. Mejia, thank you for joining us on East Texas Tonight.
