Taco Blvd can better serve its San Antonio base now that its Stone Oak location is back open for business. The restaurant was closed for some time while it underwent a remodel, but co-owner Diego Naranjo said that Taco Blvd is ready to welcome customers as of this week.
In July 2026, MySA reported that Taco Blvd was shifting operations after its Alamo Ranch location appeared to close permanently amid the remodeling of the Stone Oak location. At the time, it appeared the business was temporarily operating out of its food truck in lieu of its brick-and-mortar locations, but now folks can visit the concept in the Stone Oak area on Blanco Road.
“We had an issue with our sprinkler system, so we took advantage of the situation and renovated the space,” Naranjo told MySA during a brief phone interview.
The team behind Taco Blvd is also cooking up a cantina version of the concept in the downtown area, and Naranjo said it is much closer to opening than when we first reported on it in July. Taco Blvd Cantina will be located off Santa Rosa Street and will feature a fully integrated bar.
“Right now, we’re just pending an electrical issue,” Naranjo said. “Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, we’ll get that location going.”
The San Antonio taqueria has garnered a large online following for its Mexican street food, amassing more than 500,000 followers across its social media platforms. Taco Blvd opened its first location in 2018.
