COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will travel to Austin and College Station on Friday as part of his “Arsenal of Freedom” and “Send Me” outreach tours, according to a Defense Department announcement.
In Austin, Hegseth is scheduled to visit tech incubator Capital Factory and defense manufacturer Saronic Technologies to meet with corporate leadership and speak with workers.
He will also administer the oath of enlistment to incoming military recruits at the Austin Armed Forces Reserve Center.
Hegseth will then travel to College Station to tour the Veterans Resource Center and address the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets.
During his visit, he is slated to attend the Texas A&M football game against the University of Kentucky, where the university plans to recognize prisoners of war and service members missing in action.
