CANYON, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock-Cooper Liberty Patriots (4-0) remain unbeaten this year. Friday afternoon at Happy State Bank Stadium, they survived their toughest test of the season by coming back to beat West Plains 29-28.
Down 28-21 late in the fourth quarter, Liberty scored what would have been the tying touchdown. However, they elected to go for two and successfully completed the two-point conversion for the win.
Next Friday, the Patriots will look to go 5-0 as they host the Plainview Bulldogs.
