Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner pledged $2 million to Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD and signed a sponsorship and pledge agreement Monday.

New Trinity Arena is now the Mylers Turner Fieldhouse, according to a HEB ISD Facebook post.

“It’s Official!,” Turner wrote on X. “In Partnership With My Hometown Hurst Euless Bedford I Have Pledged 2 Million Dollars Over The Next 20 Years To @hebisd Athletic Department Benefiting Every Middle School & Both High Schools! It’s An Honor To Have My Name Synonymous With The Cities That Raised Me!

HEB ISD Superintendent of School Dr. Joe Harrington sent a statement to the Star-Telegram:

“Myles Turner’s extraordinary $2 million contribution to HEB ISD Athletics will create meaningful opportunities for our students for years to come,” the statement wrote. “As deeply as we appreciate his generosity, we are equally grateful for Myles’ genuine desire to remain connected to our district and invested in the future of our students. His continued presence, encouragement and commitment to serving as a positive role model are truly invaluable to the HEB ISD community.”

Turner’s donation to HEB ISD comes two weeks after his foundation presented $1 million to Empowering the Masses, a Dallas-Fort Worth nonprofit. According to DMagazine, he also gave $15,000 to Trinity’s visual and performing arts department.

“The DFW Metroplex Has Always Been There For Me!,” Turner wrote on X. “Looking Forward To This Decade Long Commitment With @EmpoweringDFW.”

He’s garnered a reputation as a leader within the NBA and was elected as the NBA Players Associations’ vice president Wednesday.

“Looking Forward To Serving The 450 & Leading The Next Regime!,” Turner wrote on X.

Turner is a former standout at Euless Trinity and went on to play college basketball at Texas. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers as the 11th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

In 2014, Turner averaged 17.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.4 blocks per game with the Trojans, earning McDonals All-American and Star-Telegram Player of the Year honors. That season, Trinity won its first district title since 1999 led by Turner, a top five recruit in the nation.

In 2016, Turner’s jersey was retired at Euless Trinity. He spent a decade with the Indiana Pacers before signing with the Bucks in free agency. He has the most blocked shot in Pacers history, led the league in blocks twice and helped guide the Pacers to a 2025 NBA Finals appearance.
