A woman was stabbed and injured during a fight at a motel in east Fort Worth on Sunday, police said.

Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to the 5800 block of East Lancaster Avenue about 6:20 p.m. after someone called 911, police said.

When officers arrived, they found a woman with a stab wound to the upper back near the shoulder, police said.

The victim told officers that she and another woman had an argument that escalated into a fight when the suspect stabbed her, police said.

Police said the woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect had fled the area when officers arrived, police said. No arrests have been made.
