Bowie House remains the only hotel in Dallas-Fort Worth to earn a Michelin key. And not just one, but two, for three years in a row.
Just like a Michelin star for a restaurant, a Michelin key identifies the most outstanding hotels in the country. Bowie House was one of three Texas hotels recognized in Michelin Guide’s 2026 global hotel selection revealed on Friday, Sept. 18.

Bowie House opened their doors in Fort Worth in 2023 at 3700 Camp Bowie Blvd. Owner Jo Ellard, the youngest person ever inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association’s Member Hall of Fame, worked with Auberge Resorts to bring the western luxury hotel to life.
The four-story hotel features 88 studios, 12 lofts and six suites, including a signature suite that spans 2,250 square feet. Seven on-site townhomes adjacent to the hotel range from 2,500 to 3,500 square feet, each sporting three stories with an elevator and two-car garage.

Bricks and Horses serves as the hotel’s signature restaurant serving Texas fare, American classic and locally sourced beef. Whinny’s is their poolside service with Mediterranean fare and boozy frozen cocktails.
In addition to more than 10,000 square feet of outdoor and indoor event space, the hotel also has a Billet Room, also known as the game room, and a library, known as the Mulberry room.
Ash, the hotel spa, has a steam room and sauna, nail studio, fitness center, boutique, relaxation lounge and five treatment rooms. They offer services like apothecary, water dancing, infrared therapy, synergistic skin treatments, massages and fitness classes.

The hotel has been awarded two Michelin keys since opening three years ago. One key symbolizes a “very special stay,” two keys signify an “exceptional stay,” and three keys are for an “extraordinary stay.”
There are only 657 Two Key hotels in the world, with 359 of those located in the U.S. — and only three within Texas.
