The Arlington Police Department is giving its patrol vehicles a new look.

The updated Chevrolet Tahoes will be all black with blue and red striping, and will feature the APD badge on the side of the vehicle. The first of these new vehicles is already in service.

“This new design is modern, more cost-effective, and helps us better align with the City of Arlington’s brand,” said Chief of Police Al Jones. “Our vehicle may be changing, but rest assured, our commitment to serving and engaging with our community remains the same.”

APD will continue to use the current blue and white Tahoes until they age out, then replace them over time with the new Tahoes.
