The owner of an east Fort Worth barbershop faces child sexual assault charges in connection with an incident that occurred earlier this month, police said.
Hugo Jimenez Rodriguez is being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $200,000 bond, according to court records. The alleged incident occurred Sept. 4 at Salon Hugo, a barbershop located at 4075 E. Lancaster Ave, police said in a Facebook post Tuesday.
The Crimes Against Children Unit is investigating the incident, according to the post. Detectives believe there may be more adolescent victims, especially in the Spanish-speaking community.
Jimenez Rodriguez has been charged with one count each of sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact, police said.
Anyone with information or who believes they may have been a victim of Jimenez Rodriguez is asked to contact Detective Lopez at 682-382-1509.
“Resources and support are available to individuals who choose to come forward,” police said in the post.
Jeffrey Boncek, the appointed attorney for Jimenez Rodriguez, was not immediately available for comment Tuesday.
