SAN ANTONIO — The Texas Department of Transportation will break ground Thursday on a $40 million project to build a diverging diamond interchange at Interstate 37 and Southeast Military Drive.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at The Greenline Main Pavilion, 2532 Sidney Brooks Drive.
The project will improve I-37 from Southeast Military Drive, also known as State Loop 13, to Loop 410. Work includes building the diverging diamond interchange at Southeast Military Drive.
TxDOT said the improvements are expected to improve traffic flow, reduce travel times, and enhance safety along the 2-mile corridor.
The project involves TxDOT, the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, the city of San Antonio, and Brooks.
