SAN ANTONIO — The longtime leader of the San Antonio Spurs has made headlines off the court.
According to TMZ, Gregg Popovich, the former Spurs head coach, is now married to Mary Barth Budenholzer. She is the ex-wife of Mike Budenholzer, who spent nearly 20 years as Popovich’s assistant coach and helped the team win four championships during that time.
A marriage license shows Popovich and Mary officially got married on Sept. 16 in Texas. They were also seen together at Spurs games last season.
Budenholzer, who worked closely with Popovich while the Spurs won five NBA championships, divorced Mary in 2016.
