In observance of Veterans Day, the City of El Paso will close all administrative offices on Tuesday, November 11, to honor and thank the brave men and women who have served our country.
While many city services will pause for the day, Environmental Services will continue its regular residential trash and recycling collection so no need to roll those bins back inside.
City administrative offices will reopen on Wednesday, November 12. Take time this Veterans Day to thank those who served and honor their sacrifice.

Here’s what’s open and closed around El Paso on Veterans Day:
Closed on Veterans Day
City of El Paso Administrative Offices – Including City Hall and all customer service departments.City Museums – Including the El Paso Museum of Art and the El Paso Museum of History.Public Libraries – All branches will be closed.Recreation Centers – All Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed.Municipal Court and Tax Office – Closed for the holiday.El Paso County Offices – All administrative and elected offices.El Paso ISD Schools – No classes for students and staff.Banks – Most financial institutions will be closed.Post Offices – No mail delivery or post office services.Federal, State, and Local Government Offices – Most will be closed for observance.
Open on Veterans Day
Environmental Services Department – Regular trash and recycling pickup will continue as scheduled.Citizen Collection Stations – Open for drop-offs.Greater El Paso Landfill – Operating as usual.El Paso Zoo & Botanical Gardens – Open to the public.Animal Services – Adoption centers open with special holiday hours.Sun Metro – Bus service will run on a modified schedule.Retail Stores, Restaurants, and Grocery Stores – Most will operate under normal business hours.
