In 2025, Site Selection magazine awarded Fort Worth EDP the prestigious Mac Conway Award for Excellence in Economic Development. The honor recognizes only 20 economic development organizations across the country each year and highlights the results-driven work of those who successfully bring investment and jobs to their community. 

This national recognition positions Fort Worth EDP as a proven leader in the competitive economic development space and underscores its ability to deliver transformative projects. 

Major Wins in Aerospace and Innovation 

Fort Worth EDP has played a key role in securing game-changing projects that will define the region’s future. Among the most significant:

Bell FLRAA Program: Bell announced part of its Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft program will be located in Fort Worth, generating nearly $1 billion in economic impact. The win solidifies Fort Worth’s aerospace leadership, strengthens the city’s workforce pipeline and enhances U.S. defense capabilities.
Embraer Expansion: Embraer, the third largest manufacturer of commercial aircraft, established a new $70 million MRO facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport, creating 250 aviation jobs and reinforcing Fort Worth’s reputation as a global aerospace hub.
Tech and Manufacturing Investments: Wistron selected Fort Worth for two AI supercomputing facilities, creating more than 800 jobs. German-based MTU announced a $500 million investment in aircraft maintenance operations, while Siemens chose Fort Worth for its new electrical equipment manufacturing hub, adding 800 more jobs to the region.
