EL PASO, Tx., November 11, 2025: In an update to a story, we have been covering for you, federal food subsidies have started to make their way to recipients this week.

In a Frequently Asked Questions document published by the Texas Health Human Services yesterday, beneficiaries who normally receive their benefits between the first and tenth of the month should have received their November allotment yesterday. Those whose allotment normally arrives after the tenth of the month can expect their benefits to arrive on their normal day this month.

Recipients will see the benefits loaded in their Texas Lonestar Cards as early as today, or on their normal scheduled date. But they will not be for the full amount.

Reduced Amounts

Beneficiaries of the federal food benefits for Texans have been reduced. There are several beneficiaries that will not be receiving benefits in November according to the guidance from the Texas Health and Human Services. For example, single household recipients who generally receive around $100 per month will not be getting the benefit this month. Households with 4 people who normally receive around $300 will also not be receiving food subsidies this month.

Generally, the amount allocated to recipients in November will be around 60% of the amount they normally receive according to information from Texas officials.

Recipients who were recently approved will now receive a partial allotment this month as well.

The Texas Health and Human Services said that the amounts allocated cannot be appealed by the recipients. The largest allotment to go out this month will be for $1,447 for a household of ten people with no income reported. Many recipients will receive $16 while others will not see benefits this month.
