Cedar Park, Wimberley, Taylor and Thorndale stayed undefeated in Week 5 of the Central Texas high school football season.
The Timberwolves blasted Leander 56-0 in their District 24-6A opener and face another Leander ISD rival this week in Rouse. Wimberley beat Bellville 49-35 in its final nondistrict contest; Taylor started District 13-4A Division I play with a win over Northeast; and Thorndale topped Marlin 37-7 to start District 13-2A Division I play.
Lake Travis and Westlake both took dominant wins following losses in their previous contests. The Cavs beat McNeil 59-6 to begin District 25-6A play, while the Chaps beat Midland Lee 49-6 in their final nondistrict game.

1. Lake Travis (2-1-1): Cavs have an off week after routing McNeil in 25-6A opener. Last week: 1st

1. Weiss (4-1): Wolves enter off week 2-0 in District 12-5A DI after beating Shoemaker. Last week: 1st
2. Anderson (3-1): Trojans can bounce back from loss to Boerne Champion against Seguin. Last week: 2nd
3. Liberty Hill (3-2): Panthers beat New Braunfels 38-24 to open District 12-5A DII. Last week: 3rd
4. Legacy Ranch (3-2): Wranglers, who beat N.B. Long Creek, meet rival Liberty Hill meet for the first time. Last week: 4th
5. Hendrickson (2-2): Hawks face fellow Pflugerville ISD program Connally. Last week: 5th
1. Wimberley (4-0): Texans start District 14-4A DII play against Giddings. Last week: 1st
